A charity cricket pledge by Multiflight has resulted in a cheque for £1,000 being presented to Yorkshire Cancer Research.
Multiflight’s Finance Director Miles Beecham was delighted to hand over the cheque to Stephanie Jones, Regional Fundraiser for West Yorkshire at the charity.
The company pledged to give £50 to Yorkshire Cancer Research for every century or five wicket haul Yorkshire County Cricket Club achieved in the County Championship during this latest season.
Multiflight has an established partnership with Yorkshire County Cricket Club and is one of the club’s official partners and sponsors. Yorkshire Cancer Research is the current charity partner of Yorkshire County Cricket Club and the two organisations have worked together over the 2015 and 2016 seasons to raise awareness of skin cancer and how to stay safe in the sun.
Miles said: “We are delighted to have a close relationship with Yorkshire County Cricket Club and also to be supporting the work of Yorkshire’s very own cancer charity, Yorkshire Cancer Research, which helps the people of Yorkshire avoid, survive and cope with cancer.”
Stephanie added: “This was a fantastic idea which celebrated the success of our region’s cricket team while raising money to help improve cancer outcomes in our county. We’re very grateful to Multiflight for their support.”
