Meet the team behind Yorkshire’s very own cancer research charity.
Interim Chief Executive, Dr Kathryn Scott
As Interim Chief Executive, Kathryn has overall responsibility for Yorkshire Cancer Research. Kathryn takes up the post having spent three years developing and delivering a new research strategy to ensure the work we do delivers the maximum benefit to cancer patients.
Prior to joining Yorkshire Cancer Research in 2008, Kathryn was a post-doctoral scientist for ten years and has a degree and PhD in molecular biology.
Head of Communications, Linsey Trower
Linsey leads the communications team. She has a background in Public Relations and, before joining Yorkshire Cancer Research in 2005, worked for PR and Advertising agencies where she managed clients that included the motor trade, hospitality and healthcare.
Linsey has a degree in Public Relations.

Head of Community Fundraising, Sally Crerar
Sally works with a network of voluntary committees who raise over £500,000 a year from events which can range from a simple coffee morning to an elaborate ball.
Sally has been with for the charity for almost 23 years and prior to that worked in advertising, both in the UK and abroad.

Company Secretary, Morgan Williams
Morgan is responsible for compliance and governance and fulfils the role of Company Secretary.
Prior to joining the charity in 2009, Morgan was a partner in a Leeds commercial law firm where he advised Yorkshire Cancer Research amongst other charities.
Trading and Project Accountant, Neil Richardson
Neil has in-depth experience of the key management accounting disciplines gained from working in a number of complex commercial environments within major blue chip companies, domestic and multi-national.
As Projects and Trading Accountant Neil’s responsibilities include operational finance management, financial planning and analysis, project accounting and financial and business contract management.

Commercial Director, Juliet Glendinning
Juliet leads the Fundraising, Marketing and Communication teams. She has 25 years’ strategic marketing experience gained in financial services and, since 2008, has provided consultancy to wide-ranging businesses including not-for-profit organisations and charities.
Juliet has a degree in Combined Studies from Liverpool University and post-graduate diploma qualifications in marketing, banking and in counselling skills – which she studied to support her volunteering work with two different mental and physical health charities.

Events, Partners and Regional Fundraising Manager, Patsy Robertshaw
Patsy leads the charity’s fundraising teams and portfolio of events. She focuses on developing the fundraising strategy and developing new sources of income to fund important community to help people of Yorkshire avoid, survive and cope with cancer.
Patsy holds Masters Degrees in business management, events and marketing. She is a member of the Institute for Fundraising, an accredited project manager and actively lectures on the CIM Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing. Patsy regularly delivers guest lectures and workshops at industry conferences, on the adoption and application of strategic marketing in the voluntary sector.
