We are delighted to continue our partnership with the Leeds Rhinos and Leeds Rhinos Foundation which will see us working together to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of cancer and help those already diagnosed live better.
We will invest £3.6m in eight new research projects to help improve the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer in Yorkshire. The projects cover a wide range of issues including reducing the risk of cancer and the recurrence of cancer, improving early diagnosis and increasing access to palliative care.
Yorkshire Cancer Research is funding a new, exciting community health programme called ‘Wise Up To Cancer’. The programme aims to lower cancer risk by promoting healthy lifestyles, encouraging people to take part in their cancer screening and look out for cancer signs and symptoms.
