Active Together content
FREE fitness, nutrition and wellbeing support
Research has shown that regular exercise before, during and after cancer treatment can lead to improved recovery, increased survival and help reduce the risk of cancer coming back. Active Together offers free, personalised fitness, nutrition and wellbeing support for people following a cancer diagnosis, delivered by qualified professionals.
What is involved?
Active Together is a free, personalised service for people with cancer. It is run by qualified professionals, funded by Yorkshire Cancer Research. Support is offered in three areas:
- Physical activity: Fitness instructors can help you be active before and during and after cancer treatment.
- Nutrition: Expert dietitians will help you follow a healthy, balanced diet which is tailored to your treatment and individual needs.
- Wellbeing: Support from a clinical psychologist can help look after your mental wellbeing in a supported environment.
