A team with a purpose

Here at Yorkshire Cancer Research, we have a clear mission - to fund research that saves lives in Yorkshire. The charity funds multimillion pound research projects, works with some of the UK’s leading cancer experts and interacts with tens of thousands of people every year to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. To achieve this takes a team of talented and committed individuals, working together to deliver impact with integrity.

The team here at Yorkshire Cancer Research is made up of four departments: Research and Services, Brand and Relationships, Finance and Corporate Services, and Retail.

Research, services and policy

Our innovative Research, Services and Policy team is led by Dr Stuart Griffiths. The team is responsible for the research that the charity funds. They work with key partners across the region – including some of the UK’s leading cancer experts - to identify opportunities to save lives in Yorkshire. They help fund multimillion pound cancer research projects and services. This team includes Cancer Data Insight, Research Finance and Health Initiatives and Services.

Brand and Relationships

Our dynamic Brand and Relationships team is led by Juliet Glendinning. The team is responsible for raising the profile of our charity across the region, communicating the work we do, attracting and inspiring supporters and raising vital life-giving funds. This team includes our Retail Division, Fundraising Team, Marketing, PR, Volunteer and Supporter Services.

Finance and Corporate Services

Our skilled Finance and Corporate Services team is led by Joanne Mornin. This team leads on a range of critical initiatives and provides key services to support the  charity’s strategic aims. Within this team you will find colleagues with specialisms across a wide range of areas - from managing our financial accounts to recruiting and developing people to digitising our organisation. This team includes People, Finance, Legacies, Digital, Facilities and Risk and Compliance.

Retail and Operations

Our expanding Retail team is led by Tony Graham. The charity’s retail network is constantly growing and evolving, opening new shops and retail concepts with an ambition to have a shop on every high street in Yorkshire.

Our shops are filled with teams of dedicated volunteers, selling donated goods to help raise vital funds to help prevent, treat and diagnose cancer In Yorkshire. This team includes our Shop teams, our Donation Centres, our Cafes and our eCommerce operations
