If you’re looking for the ultimate trekking experience, this once-in-a-lifetime challenge will take you to the roof of Africa – Mount Kilimanjaro. Not only will you summit the world’s highest free-standing mountain, but you’ll also be helping to fund life-saving cancer research right here in Yorkshire.

About the trek
Setting off on the 11th of September 2025, you will embark on an 11-day trip to reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. Led by expert guides, you will cover 69km of distance and reach 5,985m above sea level once you climb to the top!
Signing up for the challenge through Yorkshire Cancer Research means you’ll receive:
- Return flights from a London airport to Kilimanjaro International Airport
- All transfers
- All accommodation
- All meals on the trek
- Safe drinking water while trekking
- Local Doctor, oxygen cylinders, oxi-pulse meter, Gamow bag and medical kit to assist with monitoring participants’ wellbeing on the climb.
- Trekking permits and national park fees
- Tents and other camping equipment
- Fundraising support from a dedicated events team
- Yorkshire Cancer Research technical top and water bottle

Entry fees
Cost: The total cost of the 11-day Mount Kilimanjaro trek is £3399, which includes flights and accommodation, registration fee, trip fee, airport tax and a fuel surcharge contribution.
There is also an expected fundraising target of £800.
