In Yorkshire, 594 people a week receive a cancer diagnosis. When you fundraise for Yorkshire Cancer Research, you fund research to improve the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer in Yorkshire.
In 2019, more than 1,000 riders took part in the Selby Three Swans Sportive helping to raise over £36,453 for projects across Yorkshire. In 2020, we’re looking to make this charity sportive even bigger! With a choice of 30, 63 and 102 miles there’s something for everyone whether you’re a regular cyclist, getting on a bike for the first time, a family looking for their next challenge, or you’re ready to break through that 100-mile barrier!
Your entry fee includes a finisher’s memento, chip timing with immediate results and refreshments along the way. You’ll also be able to enjoy food, entertainment and a massage when you finish at our event village in front of Selby Abbey.
“We received brilliant support at St James’s in Leeds. I decided I wanted to give something back for the sake of others facing cancer. Since then, my wife Bev has been gaining strength so we decided to do something together to raise money for Yorkshire Cancer Research.”
Every year, the Selby Three Swans Sportive helps fund projects right across Yorkshire to prevent cancer and increase survival. We couldn’t do this work without your help and would love you to join our fundraising team and collect sponsorship when taking part. We don’t ask for a minimum sponsorship amount, but we’ll support you every step of the way. For more information on how your money helps, go to the How We Help page.
If everyone who takes part in the Selby Three Swans Sportive raised £50, an additional £50,000 could be invested in lifesaving projects here in Yorkshire.
You can purchase a Yorkshire Cancer Research cycling jersey for £30 plus £2.50 postage and packaging. Just email your size using our sizing guide to email@example.com and we’ll let you know how to pay for this.
