Yorkshire Marathon

17 October 2021

Let’s do this for Yorkshire!

In Yorkshire, nearly 600 people receive a cancer diagnosis every week. When you fundraise for Yorkshire Cancer Research, you’re helping to fund pioneering research to improve the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer in our region.

Yorkshire Marathon

It’s easy to see why the Yorkshire Marathon has been a sell-out every year since its 2013 launch. It's one of Britain’s most popular marathons boasting a picturesque course through historic York and the surrounding countryside. Runners can expect helpful marshals, great crowds and an eye-catching medal at the finish. On the same day as the marathon, the Yorkshire 10 Mile also takes place, bringing supporters and runners alike to the city streets.

Supporting Yorkshire Cancer Research

“We received brilliant support at St James’s in Leeds. I decided I wanted to give something back for the sake of others facing cancer. Since then, my wife Bev has been gaining strength so we decided to do something together to raise money for Yorkshire Cancer Research.”
