Evidence submission for the Tobacco and Vapes Bill

Yorkshire Cancer Research has submitted written evidence to the Tobacco and Vapes Bill Public Bill Committee.

Public Bill Committees scrutinise and debate new Parliamentary Bills line by line. They allow Members of Parliament to hear from individuals and organisations with expertise on the subject of the Bill.

The Tobacco and Vapes Bill is a landmark piece of legislation. It will increase the age of sale for cigarettes by one year, every year, so that anyone born on or after 1 January 2009 will never legally be able to buy cigarettes. Yorkshire Cancer Research contributed written evidence to express its support for the Bill. We also suggest where the Bill can go further to reduce the burden of smoking in Yorkshire and beyond.
