Gabby Logan MBE to host BigChange virtual event for Yorkshire Cancer Research

Date: 22 July 2020

Sports presenter Gabby Logan MBE will host a virtual event to help raise vital funds for Yorkshire Cancer Research.

The Leeds-born star will be the guest speaker for BigChange’s ‘Motivational Monday’ webinar, which has been organised in partnership with the charity’s Leeds Committee to celebrate Yorkshire Day.

Gabby will reflect on her early career as a rhythmic gymnast, for which she was recognised internationally. She will also speak about her experience becoming the first woman to present Match of the Day and how, through sheer hard work and determination, she has forged a successful career presenting for BBC SPORT and ITV as well as radio.

Leeds-based mobile resource management company BigChange holds Motivational Monday events once a month, inviting someone exceptional from the world of sport or business to share their stories and give advice.

Hilary Tammer of the Yorkshire Cancer Research committee in Leeds, said: “We’re delighted to be working with BigChange to offer this exciting opportunity. It’s an honour to have Gabby Logan as our guest. We are sure she will provide inspiration to listeners across the region in what has been a very challenging time for many of us.
“We are encouraging all those attending, and those who can’t make it, to donate to Yorkshire Cancer Research. The charity needs the help of people in our region now more than ever so it can continue to support research to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and minimise the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on those with cancer.”

Martin Port, Founder and CEO of BigChange, said: “BigChange are delighted to partner with Yorkshire Cancer Research. It’s such an incredibly worthy cause. We want to raise awareness of the charity and hopefully get them some much-needed financial support at this difficult time.”

The BigChange event will take place on Monday, 3rd August, at 4pm. Please visit to register. Donations to Yorkshire Cancer Research can be made at
