Marathon walk raises £3,800 content
A marathon walk organised by a Meltham brewery has raised £3,860 for Yorkshire Cancer Research. Chris Broadbent and Matthew Crabtree, Directors of the Three Fiends Brewhouse, were joined by 28 supporters on the 26.5-mile trek.
The challenge started and finished at the Fourth Fiend Tap House in Meltham and passed through villages in the Holme Valley, Fulstone, Thurstonland, Farnley Tyas and Hall Bower.
The group were met at the finishing point by huge cheers from friends and family.
Chris said: “We enjoyed great banter throughout the day to keep each other’s spirits up. A massive thank you to our supporters and to everyone who made donations. We are delighted to have raised such a huge amount for a charity close to our hearts.”

Jane Dutton, chair of the charity’s Huddersfield Volunteer Group said: “We’d like to say a huge thank you to the Fiends and their supporters. The money raised will help to fund world-leading cancer research in Yorkshire.”
