Stadium Riders' Yorkshire Day mountain bike challenge

Date: 16 July 2020

Five mountain bike enthusiasts have set a tough Yorkshire Day challenge to raise money for Yorkshire Cancer Research.

Andrew Beever, Saul Muldoon, Sally Buckworth, San Kapil and Arran Wolstenholme, all members of the Stadium Riders Mountain Bike Club, Huddersfield, will cycle 80 miles along the bridleways and bike trails of Kirklees, starting and finishing at the historic landmark of Castle Hill.
Andrew said: “Yorkshire Day is the perfect day to raise vital funds for Yorkshire Cancer Research. Cancer touches the lives of so many people, and we are proud to support Yorkshire’s very own cancer charity.”

Saul added: “Our route is a full-day ride and will take in some of Kirklees most scenic bridleways and trails, riding between the most north, east, south and west points of Kirklees and climbing more than 10,000 feet.”
The money raised will go towards funding vital research to help people in Yorkshire survive cancer.
