Using vaping starter kits to help people with mental illness quit smoking (ESCAPE) content
People with mental health conditions are disproportionately affected by smoking and despite a strong desire to quit, often find it difficult to do so. This trial will aim to establish whether an offer of vaping products can help people with mental illness quit smoking.
The researchers will work with mental health trusts to test whether integrating the offer of a vaping starter kit helps increase the number who quit successfully.
By investing in different ways to support smokers to quit for good, we are committed to helping people across Yorkshire have a greater likelihood of a longer, healthier, cancer-free life.
